Leaving Wolverhampton
They say that you learn as much when things don’t work out as you do when things are successful, and The Rebuild Site team definitely have plenty of food for thought following a difficult decision to cease trading at The Reuse Hub at the end of June 2025. As a new ‘disruptive’ business model, setting up and operating construction materials reuse hubs has it’s challenges, but we went into the initiative in Wolverhampton having high hopes that we could replicate the success of our Carlisle facility in much shorter timescales, however with different external factors and overheads being more than our newly established venture could cover once the kickstarter funding ran out, we have run out of time.
We gave it our all and will ‘never say never’ regarding a West Midlands construction material reuse hub but for the time being Rebuild are focusing our attention on moving our Carlisle facility to a new location in the city, and our ‘Rebuild in a Box’ offer. We would like to thank those in the local area and the wider construction industry that supported us in Wolverhampton, including the staff and volunteers at Wood Saints who are continuing to trade with their bespoke furniture and wood sales.
