The Rebuild Site Carlisle hosts our head office, Carlisle Shop, Community Repaint Carlisle, Community Cabin, Tool Library and the ReCa refill shop.
The Carlisle Shop
We stock a wide range of building and construction materials, all of which has been collected as surplus from building sites, or donated to us from trades people and members of the public. Materials are all new and unused, but would often be disposed of or down cycled as they are surplus to requirement if they didn’t come to us. We price accordingly – often 50% – 60% of retail price.
Community Cabin
The Community Cabin hosts all our workshops and events. It’s a cosy space to while away a few hours, and best of all, it’s fitted out with reused materials. You can drop in on a Thursday to work on your own projects, or Click here to see our current events.
Tool Library
The tool library is like a normal library, but with tools! You can sign up for annual membership, which gives you access to 200 tools which you can borrow, rather than having to buy something you may only use occasionally. Good for the pocket, good for the planet!
ReCa
ReCa is our resident refill shop, run by our friends! It is situated in the Rebuild Shop and stocks a range of cleaning products which can be decanted into any container to take away.
Community RePaint Store
We stock a range of ReColour Paint, which is remanufactured from half tins of paint which would otherwise have been incinerated.
We usually have matt emulsion, gloss, masonry, garden and chalk paint.
We also sell part tins of paint, and accept donations of part tins if they are in good condition.
We are part of the Community RePaint network, working collectively to reduce waste and divert useable paint away from incineration/landfill.
Donations
We accept donated items of useable, surplus building materials during shop hours. A full list of what we accept can be found here. To make a donation, please send pictures of your items to helen@rebuildsite.co.uk
