Rebuild shortlisted for prestigious award

Rebuild shortlisted for Inclusive Innovation Award at 2026 Northern Power Women Awards
Rebuild has been named a finalist in the Inclusive Innovation Award category at the 2026 Northern Power Women Awards, which celebrate individuals and organisations driving equity, inclusion and social impact across the North of England.
Selected from a record 1,800 nominations and judged by an independent panel of 90 judges, the Inclusive Innovation shortlist recognises Rebuild’s practical approach to making the circular economy work for people and communities. Through its reuse shop and partnerships with the construction industry, Rebuild keeps usable materials out of skips and in local communities; creating environmental benefit alongside skills, access and opportunity.
Based in Cumbria, Rebuild has built a model that combines environmental action with social value, supporting community groups, schools and households while helping industry reduce waste. The organisation’s work demonstrates that inclusive, community-led innovation can deliver measurable impact without relying on complex technology or exclusionary systems.
The winners will be announced on Thursday 12 March 2026 at the Northern Power Women Awards celebration at Manchester Central Convention Complex, marking the awards’ tenth anniversary year.
