Shop Manager (Part Time – two days per week, for 6 months initial term, plus 5% pension)
£20,590 Full Time annual salary equivalent, works out at £686.33 per month on part time hours.
The Rebuild Site CIC is looking for a part time shop manager to join our small team with big ambitions. The shop manager will run our shop selling building materials, manage our shop volunteers and provide great customer service for everyone that visits. The role will work Thursdays and Saturdays, 9:00am – 4:30pm (some flexibility may be available on start and end times), at Kingmoor Park in Carlisle. The post is initially for 6 months, however if successful we will be able to extend this.
The Rebuild Site is a not for profit company which saves surplus building materials from going in the skip, and makes them available to the public at low cost, and to charity groups for free. Our shop is based in Kingmoor Park in Carlisle, and this is where the post would be located.
Tasks for the shop manager will include (and are not limited to):
- Updating the stock system with new items
- Managing volunteers and arranging volunteer cover for shop opening hours
- Arranging displays and keeping the shop tidy
- Cash register procedures and cash handling
- Acting as keyholder for the shop
We’re looking for a friendly and organised person, who is proactive, and happy to make improvements in the shop every week. Prior building materials knowledge would be useful but not necessary to be able to successfully do the job.
As we sell building materials, the shop manager role would suit someone who is capable and willing to lift and move around sometimes heavy stock.
